Ural Of Oz is hosted by Jon Taylor. Born in 1950 he has been a keen motorcyclist since he aquired his first bike at the age of 17. Jon has been exploring the New England ranges by bike for many years and loves the back roads and bush. As a 5th generation family farmer at Kentucky Jon is ready to share his knowledge and make your sidecar touring experience an enjoyable and safe adventure.

His occupation as a farmer has meant daily bike riding for 40 years and a wealth of off road experience to enhance his ability with a bike. Competing in observed trials and then later as an endurance rider the peak of his competition days came with a win in the production class of the Wynns’ Safari – 9 days and 5,000km with just 8 finishers from 74 starters. His experience includes owning more than 45 motorcycles and several sidecars in an accident free and riding infringement free 41 years.
